St. Luke’s Elks Rehab is currently seeking a full-time Neuropsychologist to join our experienced, growing team. Our Neuropsychologists test for memory and cognitive problems related to suspected neurological conditions like brain injury, stroke, dementia, or other diseases or conditions affecting the brain.  The position would include providing neuropsychological assessments, evaluations, education and consultation to patients, families and other medical/health professionals. The Neuropsychologist team provides care in the inpatient and outpatient setting, and is an active and collaborative participant amongst interdisciplinary teams and in appropriate research studies through St. Luke’s service lines.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Conduct neuropsychological evaluations and consultations with patients who have medical and neurological conditions that affect cognition and learning. - Provide both inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological evaluation and consultation. - Perform neurobehavioral assessment in the context of Wada procedures and cortical mapping. - Participate in collaborative research studies in line with study protocols, particularly through the Neuroscience Service Line and Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI). - Assist in the development of neuropsychological protocols using a programmatic, inter-disciplinary team approach. - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.   JOB REQUIREMENTS - Graduation from an APA/CPA accredited School doctoral program and completion of an accredited postdoctoral residency in clinical neuropsychology. - Current license to practice psychology in the State of Idaho. - Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment. - Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and developmental needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment. - Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension and expression. - Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying. - Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values.     ABOUT BOISE Known as the "City of Trees," Boise is Idaho's capital city—both a cultural center and a playground for those who love the outdoors.  A vibrant downtown area affords fine dining, theatre, music, and college and semi-professional sports.  Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, The Boise Co-op, and seasonal farmers markets are within a mile of the hospital. We also care for patients pre- and post-kidney transplant and manage the treatment of patients with hypertension.  Support from our hospitalist, vascular surgery and interventional radiology teams is  readily available and easily accessible, and there is a 2:3 nursing support ratio.
