Overview

St. Luke’s Cardiac Surgery is seeking a BC/BE cardiac surgeon to join a longstanding and successful community practice with 3 other cardiac surgeons. The practice is advanced community adult acquired and adult congenital heart surgery – coronary revascularization, complex root surgery, ascending and arch replacement, valve surgery including thoracotomy mitral valve surgery, TEVAR. We support a growing structural heart program including 120-150 TAVRs per year. Surgeons play a large role in the structural heart program. Part of the heart and vascular service line, we enjoy a collegial relationship and collaborate with the vascular surgery group and general thoracic surgery services, but the position is dedicated to the performance of cardiac and aortic surgery.  Ideal candidate would be collegial, committed to the practice of community adult heart surgery, focused on building our program, and long-term career development.

  • 1:4 Call, cardiac surgery only
  • 4 full time APP's, with likelihood of expansion
  • 400 open cases, 120-150 TAVR annually
  • Standalone dedicated CVOR: 1 Hybrid Suite, 2 Open Rooms, 1 Robotic/Open Room
  • Expanding Structural Heart Program: Mitraclip, Triclip, Evoque, Pascal
  • Separate Vascular and General Thoracic Services
  • Areas for growth: robotic surgery, espanding ECLS/MCS services
