Overview

St. Luke’s Health System is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our patient focused, Pediatric Orthopedics Hospitalist team in Boise, ID.

 

The selected individual will be working with our Orthopedic Pediatric team seeing patients in clinic, managing new patient intakes and patients non-operatively.  

  • This role boasts a highly desirable schedule of Monday through Friday, day hours with no weekends or holidays.
  • This position may require split clinic time between the new Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and Meridian Clinic.
  • Experience is preferred but new grads will be considered. 

Our growing team is currently compromised of 4 Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons and 1 NP who works with RNs, ACTs and CMAs. To help support our growing community and meet the needs of our patients, St. Luke’s has opened a new Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (COSM).  This state-of-the-art practice setting includes ample clinic space as well as an on-site surgery center, advanced imaging, pharmacy, and lab services.  Other features include a large, open atrium that can be used for community events and various programmatic elements such as lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and pre-hab programs.  

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
  • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
  • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
