Join Idaho’s only Children’s Hospital as a Trauma Advanced Practice Provider in Boise, Idaho

 

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID seeks an Advanced Practice Provider with a strong interest in Pediatric Trauma to join a well-established practice of 6 surgeons and 4 APP’s.  As Idaho’s only Children’s hospital, St. Luke’s Children’s is a Level II verified/accredited Pediatric Trauma Center that supports a vast geographic referral network that includes Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Northern Nevada. As a member of CHA, St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare to children throughout the region. Interested applicants must possess excellent clinical skills and demonstrate a commitment to further program development and leadership. Candidates with 3+ years of trauma experience and ATLS Certification are preferred; newly graduated or those early in their career with demonstrated strong clinical performance may be considered. Work schedule is variable and will include inpatient and outpatient care for pediatric trauma and general surgery patients. 24 hour call on a rotating basis required. First assist required. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
  • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
  • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
