St. Luke’s Magic Valley has an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Therapist in our specialty Behavioral Health Clinic. Work in an outpatient setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including therapists, psychiatrists, primary care providers, and nurse care managers to provide mental health services to individuals and families with diverse needs.
The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for identifying individual and family psychosocial, emotional and cultural needs and priorities for care through assessment, care planning, clinical interventions, education and evaluation of outcomes. The Mental Health Therapist provides counseling and support to alleviate stress, enhance functional coping abilities, minimize potential problems/barriers related to treatment and maximize opportunities for communication and problem-solving. Through documentation and oral communication, the Mental Health Therapist shares essential information with healthcare team members when appropriate.
