  • Overview

    We are currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) specializing in Wound Care for a part time, 3 days/week, position in our St. Luke's Multispecialty Clinic in Ketchum, ID. This position requires orienting in Boise or Meridian for the first 2-3 months of employment. Housing and travel for training will be paid by St. Luke's. The Wound Care Advanced Practitioner will join a collegial team of a Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant and Occupational/Physical Therapist, and is responsible for providing customized treatment plans for acute and chronic wounds, related to traumatic injuries and chronic health conditions. In a typical day the team sees an average of 10-14 patients, with one hour designated for new patients and half hour follow up appointment times.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

    • Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner.
    • Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
    • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
    • Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
    • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
