    St. Luke's Health System is currently seeking a Pyschiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to work in our rural primary care clinic in Baker City. We are looking for a candidate who has an interest and passion for rural healthcare and mental health, and who would like to have a significat, direct impact on the community. Baker City has limited access to Behavioral Health providers, so this position is a crucial component to treating patients and their mental health needs. 


    The PMHNP is responsible for providing high-quality healthcare through the diagnosis and treatment of patients with conditions ranging from mild, to acute and/or chronic. The PMHNP works under the supervision of a designated physician, and in collaboration with a team of other providers and staff.

    Baker City is located in Eastern Oregon, where miles of scenic wilderness, working cattle ranches and basalt canyons are in place to enjoy.     • Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Oregon to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
    • Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
    • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
    • Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
