  • Overview

    St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho is currently seeking two Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants (APPs) to help build a new Spine Surgery practice in Meridian, Idaho. As St. Luke's continues to strengthen its centers of excellence, this group would support the expansion and creation of a neurosurgical spine center of excellence in Meridian. This program will complement and support the development of a Meridian stroke program as well. The APPs will be responsible for providing quality health care in the inpatient and outpatient setting, under the supervision of a designated physician. This position would help discharge patients, first assist in surgery, round with physicians and work in the clinic.

    ABOUT MERIDIAN

    JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

    • Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
    • Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
    • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
    • Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
    • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
