    St. Luke’s Health System is currently seeking a System Medical Director for the Neuroscience service line. The System Medical Director is the most senior physician leader in the health system for the clinical areas encompassed within Neurosciences. In dyad partnership with the System Service Line Administrator and reporting to the CMO, the System Medical Director oversees strategy, care variation reduction, new clinical projects, ambulatory clinic operations, and physician performance across the geography of the St. Luke’s Health System. With the dyad System Administrator, the System Medical Director establishes and oversees a governance structure that is designed to engage all providers within Neuroscience in key decisions around strategy and clinical care.



    Known as the "City of Trees," Boise is Idaho's capital city—both a cultural center and a playground for those who love the outdoors. Boise is located on the Boise River in southwestern Idaho.  A vibrant downtown area affords fine dining, theatre, music, and college and semi-professional sports. Downtown Boise's main attractions include the Idaho State Capitol, the classic Egyptian Theatre, the Boise Art Museum, Julia Davis Park and Zoo Boise.  The Greenbelt follows the beautiful Boise River corridor for more than 30 miles, and the Boise foothills are home to miles of hiking and biking trails.



    • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine or Osteopathy and successful completion of an accredited residency program. Advanced degree in business, healthcare administration, healthcare quality improvement, or other is desirable, but not required.
    • Experience: At least 5 years of clinical practice required. 10 years preferred.  Demonstration of progressive leadership roles within healthcare organization(s).
    • St. Luke’s Clinic Membership: The System Medical Director must be a member of the St, Luke’s Clinic through an employment, PSA, or ESA relationship or be willing to become a member.
    • Licenses/Certifications: 1) Membership as a licensed physician (MD or DO) on St. Luke’s Medical Staff.  2) Maintain Board Certification within specialty 3) Expectation to maintain at least a part-time clinical practice while performing the job duties noted above.
