St. Luke's Children's Hospital, in Idaho's vibrant capitol city of Boise, is currently seeking a full-time Board-Certified/Board-Eligible, fellowship-trained Pediatric Surgeon. Our Pediatric Surgery team consists of 5 Physicians, 5 Pediatric Anesthesiologists, 4 NP's, as well as 3 MA's and 1 Certified First Assistant. St. Luke's Children's Surgery provides the most advanced and experienced pediatric surgery care in the region. Our surgeons treat children of all ages, ranging from neonates to age 18, and cover a single hospital. Our pediatric team has more than 150 skilled pediatricians and pediatric specialists, including a full service hospitalist program who work with providers from around the region to provide high quality care to more than 100,000 pediatric patients annually. Additionally, we have a Level IV NICU and a 13-bed PICU, the first in the state of Idaho. St. Luke's Children's Hospital is also developing a pediatric trauma program.
St. Luke's Children's Hospital will be opening the new, state-of-the-art Idaho Elks Children's Pavilion in early 2019. This project is a $42 million, 4-story, 85,000 square foot central building for all of our Pediatric specialties and services under the same roof. For safe, direct access, the Children's Pavilion will connect to our Hospital via sky bridge.
Known as the "City of Trees," Boise is Idaho's capital city—both a cultural center and a playground for those who love the outdoors. A vibrant downtown area affords fine dining, theatre, music, and college and semi-professional sports. Downtown Boise's main attractions include the Idaho State Capitol, the classic Egyptian Theatre, the Boise Art Museum, Julia Davis Park and Zoo Boise. The Greenbelt follows the beautiful Boise River corridor for more than 30 miles, and the Boise foothills are home to miles of hiking and biking trails.
